Binding is tight and sturdy;…light wear to edges of red cloth boards, illustrated plate on front board bold, paper title plate on spine toned with some very mild rubbing, text bold and clearly legible; text and illustrations remain clean and crisp throughout; previous owner inscription on blank second front end page. No dust jacket. Bishop was an American illustrator and commercial artist, perhaps best known for his illustrations in an edition of Moby Dick also published by Harcourt in 1933.
