Final script for the 1981 film. Copy belonging to actor Howard Hesseman, with his name in manuscript pencil on the front wrapper, and a note regarding a meeting with a makeup artist on the title page. Laid in with the script are several copied production documents, including a shooting schedule dated 7/10/1980, and sketches of characters in the film. The small town of Ticlaw has only one attraction: an amusement park. When construction builds a new freeway nearby, with no exit into Ticlaw, the town will do anything to alter the project in their favor. Director John Schlesinger's first film of the 1980s. Shot on location in Apopka, Mount Dora, and Sarasota, Florida. Hot pink titled wrappers. Title page present, dated December 24, 1979, noted as FINAL SCRIPT, with credit for screenwriter Edward Clinton. 171 leaves, with last leaf of text numbered 126.
