Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. A great novel, the author's third, and this is the first printing of the world first edition. The jacket is worn, es[pecially on the spine and rear turnaround, but essentially, now that it is safely protected, it looks good. Broken join between the c…over and the text block. Some tanning to the end papers. Other than that, this has no marks, the text block is firm. Slight;y abraded top of the binding, mainly back cover. Gilt titling bright. Not a perfect example, but it is still worth the price. Language: eng Language: eng 0.0 Language: eng 0.0 Language: eng 0.0 Language: eng.

William Caxton c. 1421 - 1491 | A Caxton Exhibition Catalogue Issued by the States of Jersey Library Service on the 500th Anniversary of the Introduction of Printing to Great Britain
William Caxton (c. 1421 - 1491) was an English merchant, diplomat, and writer. He is thought to be the first person to introduce a printing press into England, in 1476, and as a printer was the first English retailer of printed books. [Hans Peter Kraus (October 12, 1907 - November 1, 1988), also known as H. P. Kraus or HPK, was an Austrian-born book dealer described as "without doubt the most successful and dominant rare book dealer in the world in the second half of the 20th century"].
