Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. A great novel, the author's third, and this is the first printing of the world first edition. The jacket is worn, es[pecially on the spine and rear turnaround, but essentially, now that it is safely protected, it looks good. Broken join between the cover and the text block. Some tanning to the end papers. Other than that, this has no marks, the text block is firm. Slight;y abraded top of the binding, mainly back cover. Gilt titling bright. Kraus formed a business that reprinted scientific and scholarly journals and reference books. SIGNED 'P. Kraus 3. iii. 77' inside the front cover and in near Fine condition. Member of the P.B.F.A.
