DI BARTOLO e riproducente la firma del Rapisardi e con 8 testate con SCENETTE biblico-tragiche e 4 testate ormate. Titolo in rosso e nro. Bella mezza pelle verde scuro con titolo e fregi e filetti oro al dorso. Da segnalare "nell'intermezz…o primo. tradotti liberalente alcuni casnti dialettali dell'alta Italia" che sarebbe interessante individuare. Capolavoro del fiero e titanico e dimenticato RAPISARDI, il vate Etneo: "mi son formato da me, distruggendo la meschina e falsa istruzione ed educazione ricevuta, e istruendomi ed educandomi da me, a modo mio, fuori di qualunque scuola, estraneo a qualunque setta, sdegnoso di sistemi e di pregiudizi", ammiratore di Lucrezio, Leopardi e Garibaldi, nel 1883 cacciò la moglie che lo tradiva con Giovanni Verga; nel 1877 l'arcivescovo di Catania ordinò di bruciare "Lucifero"; e, nonostante l'immensa popolarità tra i catanesi,e non solo, dal 1912 la sua salma sommariamente imbalsamata rimase insepolta quasi 10 anni in un magazzino del cimitero, perchè "irreligioso". Del tutto atipico e da non perdere.
