Between 1990 and 1995, The Folio Society produced a series of finely bound, signed, limited editions of nine of their classic titles, this one being 'Of Gods and Men' by Frederic Raphael, with illustrations by Sarah Raphael. The edition is limited to 100 numbered copies but this copy is unnumbered and has only been signed by Sarah Raphael and not Frederic. The book is beautifully bound in quarter purple goatskin leather with gilt lettering, and hand-marbled sides by Ann Muir. Top edges gilt. There are eight full-page colour illustrations by Sarah Raphael and the title page lettering is by John Andrew. 174 pages. Printed on Virginia Wove and Fineblade cartridge paper. Housed in a black slipcase with inset paper label. Printed and bound in the U.K. The book is in fine condition without flaws. The slipcase has some minor scuffing which is highlighted by the camera and less noticeable in real life. ORDERS professionally packed, tracked and/or signed-for, and insured.
