The editors Kellner and Farber here present the four essays Van Vechten prepared for successive issues of Vanity Fair in 1927. The edition prepared from Van Vechten's typescripts held at th…e New York Public library. Added at front and rear is a two page facsimile of Ralph Barton's fabulous caricature of the leading lights of the cinema "A Tuesday Night at Coconut Grove" A key for identifying the 128 or so persons pictured is included at rear. Light shelf/handling evidence to the silver metallic wraps. Scarce limited edition chap book. VG+ to NFOf this edition [. Twenty-six copies have been printed on Springmill Gray paper in Bernhard Modern and Broadway fonts . They have been hand-sewn into Daler-Roney silver Canford wrappers and lettered A through Z." ].

Binding cocked in the s…pine; boards lightly bumped at corners. Cloth crimped and lightly rubbed at spine ends with just trace fray; gilt title lettering dulled but readily legible at spine. Illustrated with drawings by the unique Ralph Barton. VG-.
