Condition: Good. ALS by the 19th-century French engraver Paul Adolphe Rajon. On notepaper embossed "Auvers.Oise et Loire" (town of his last residence). Written in black ink and signed in pencil "Rajon." 3-7/8 x 6-3/8 inches.

Acquaforte orig. da un disegno di Jean-Louis-Ernest Meissonier, 95x65 su foglio di 300x240. Tratta dalla pubblicazione "Art e Nature" di L. Roger-Milès con tiratura di 500 es. La pubblicazione conteneva litografie e acqueforti dei più celebri incisori e disegnatori francesi della fine dell'Ottocento.

29.5 x 21.5 cm on tan laid paper. A famous portrait of James McNeill Whistler (1834-1903) by the French artist Paul Adolphe Rajon (1843-1888). This lithographed image reproduces the original chalk sketch which hung in Whistlerís Fulham Road home in London. The original is now in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Slight brown square outline around the image from a previous mat; in fine condition.
