Slate gray cloth cover has hard, clean, straight boards, very mild soiling to the boards and a lightly crushed spine at the top and bottom that is slightly worn and soiled. Inside front cover has previous owner's library nameplate pasted near the top. Pages are clean, unmarked, and very firmly bound. This book is in fine condition.

The spine is faded and discoloured. Light rubbing to the corners. Browning to the pages edges with some dark spots to the top edges which also have two white stains. Gift message to a previous owner on the front free endpaper. Endpapers and half-title page browned but the pages are otherwise unmarked. No jacket. First printing.
