Early owner's name in ink on the half title. Text is a little toned but is generally clean. Collates complete with 8 color plates. No copyright date; the code at the bottom of the last page of the Index suggest a date of 1911. …

Books from this series are usually only to be found as single copies. Although not dated, the British Library date all these titles as being published in 1911. We have not been able to find out if further titles were published. First editions. 17 volumes, series editor R Hooper Pearson, original green paper-covered boards, mounted colour illustrated print on the front of each book and each book is illustrated with 8 colour plates. Some volumes also have black & white plates. Fore and bottom edges roughly trimmed, some spotting to edges of most volumes. Some volumes have tanned or spotted endpapers and most have a degree of spotting to the pages, some quite heavy. Some boards/spines are tanned, slight damp damage to one. Pencil signatures to inner endpapers of some volumes.
