Add to basketAn important and rare Canadiana. In 1832, Adolphus Bourne published Sproule's four sketches of Quebec as prints. He decided to send them to London to be lithographed, and there they were drawn on stone by W. Walton and printed by the famous lithographer, C. Hullmandel, a pupil of the discoverer of lithography Alois Senefelder. T…hey were nominally published by "A. Bourne, London," and were sold by "A.Bourne, Engraver, Montreal," printed in black and white and sometimes coloured by hand. , Image Size : 260x370 (mm), 10.24x14.57 (Inches), Platemark Size : , Paper Size : 310x400 (mm), 12.20x15.75 (Inches), Original Hand Coloring, Lithograph Very good, a couple of small tears on the upper margin, laid down on acid free tissue paper for long term preservation.
