The jacket is wrapped in Mylar.

Wallace, most recently a faculty expert at the University of Minnesota, was an assistant professor in the famous 1960s philosophy department at Princeton, which also included Stuart Hampshire, Richard Rorty, Walter Kaufmann, Thomas Kuhn, and several other luminaries in their field.
