Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware -Cambodia has enjoyed eight years of high economic growth. According to the World Bank and ADB, Cambodia moved from a low-income country to a lower-middle-income country in 2015 and became a new tiger economy of Asia in 2016. As stated by the Prime Minister, Cambodia targeted to become an upper-middle-income country in 2030 and a high-income country in 2050. Likewise, Cambodia has been promoting green economic development and is one of the founding member countries of the GGGI, international green growth organization. The national multi-sectoral council and its secretariat were also established, and many regulations such as national green growth policy, strategic plan, and roadmap have been prepared and approved. Especially, the governance and development have been modernizing. This book illustrates the Cambodian green economic development, including background and governance, presents the SWOT analysis, and provides recommendations to policymakers as well as researchers working related to green economic development.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 156 pp. Englisch.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware -The world is urbanizing. More than half of its population lives in urban areas and this will increase to 68% by 2050. Nearly 90% of this increase will take place in Asia and Africa. Hence, improving urban sustainability is necessary for all countries in the world, especially countries in Asia and Africa. Cambodia, a country in Asia, has been trying its best to improve the sustainability of its cities and urban areas. Its efforts resulted in many signs of progress, such as a clean city standard, green city development program and sustainable city plan for its capital. This book attempts to share experiences and case studies on the development and management of sustainable cities in Cambodia to the world, particularly to countries in Asia and Africa. This book presents the global, regional and national relevant indicators and the developed consensus indicators for urban sustainability assessment in Cambodia, including an application of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11 (UN SDG 11) indicators to Cambodia.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 224 pp. Englisch.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware -The child population in cities are rapidly increasing, and sixty per cent of the world¿s children will live in cities by 2025. Hence, there are growing interests in promoting child-friendly cities and communities. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) produced an action framework for building child-friendly cities and communities as well. This framework identified the steps to build a governance system committed to fulfilling children¿s rights based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Likewise, the Plan International organization in cooperation with the Cambodia National Council for Children has introduced and developed an initiative in Cambodia on child-friendly community. This initiative aims to improve a conducive environment for children where their rights are recognized, supported, and realized. In this book, the author selected the Smile Village initiative in Phnom Penh city, Cambodia as a case study focused on child-friendly dimensions. Nine other international initiatives from other countries were selected to study on these dimensions as well. Finally, the author compared the ten-country initiatives and their fulfilled building block(s).VDM Verlag, Dudweiler Landstraße 99, 66123 Saarbrücken 160 pp. Englisch.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) is an umbrella term to describe a collection of formal approaches that take account of multiple criteria in helping individuals or groups explore decisions that matter. MCDA techniques are instrumentally used in making the decision on the development of the complex index. In this book, the author presents the applications of two MCDA techniques, Delphi and AHP in developing a priority-based index for urban sustainability assessment in Cambodia. The Delphi technique was conducted to develop consensus indicators whereas the AHP technique was carried out to prioritize the developed consensus indicators. These applications showed that Delphi played an important role to develop and validate the initial indicators. After initial indicators validated, this technique was also significant in analyzing the consensus (the agreement). Especially, the AHP technique played a significant role in prioritizing the developed consensus indicators. Based on the significance of these techniques, the author proposes a combined Delphi and AHP method to develop a priority-based index for urban sustainability assessment in Cambodia. 208 pp. Englisch.
