The exemplar of Rotary luncheons and Chamber of Commerce banquets, Prochnow was a widely quoted wit who uncorked such bon mots as "a great many people mistake opinions for thoughts." (And that includes you, snickering schoolboy Donnie Trump!) The book is inscribed to General Robert E Wood, another Chicago business heavyweight of the period, was the president of Sears Roebuck at the height of the company's retail power and founder of the Allstate insurance.
