Beginning with its medieval origins, the book tells the story of syphilis' devastating effects on individuals and societies, as well as the social stigma associated with the disease. Throughout the book, the author emphasizes the need for education and awareness about syphilis, arguing that these are essential for preventing its spread and reducing its impact on individuals and communities. The book concludes by discussing the latest treatments for syphilis and the hope for a future where the disease can be eliminated.
