    Leather Bound. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. 12mo. viii, 191 pages. The binding measures 7 1/2 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide. Hardcover bound in original brown cloth with cover designs embossed in blind and with spine titles in gilt. The binding is rubbed and bumped but sound. Some pale spotting to the covers. Inner hinges secure. Early owner's ink stamp "J. N. Laws / Millwood, Va." on the front pastedown. Modern owner's embossed blind stamp on the second front flyleaf. Outside edges of the text block are a bit foxed and dust-stained. Text is toned but clean. J. L. Burrows was from Norfolk, Virginia.
