Paperback oblong small quarto, good condition, stapled (little rusted), illustrated cover (little rubbed), black & white text-photos, few marks rear cover, cover corners tips creased, few creases covers, minor edgewear. 24 pp. This special pamphlet has been produced in an effort to provide an early history of Ashfield, a heritage suburb in Sydney's Inner West (now much transformed). The publication is a collaboration between Ashfield Municipal Council and the Ashfield and District Historical Society. The history was written by Chris Pratten, Secretary to the Society. The photos are from Council's archives and the Society's collection. (No date, but 1998.).
