Original highly decorative green cloth with the red inset on front cover gilt decorated with two boys playing with fireworks. The cloth rebacked with the original spine laid-down. Spine slightly darkened. Origi…nal yellow advertising endpapers retained, inner hinges at the front and back reinforced with matching yellow paper. Generally a very good copy. Chris Philip's bibliography on firework books lists the date as 1871 & says that there is one copy in the British Library. Rare. Illustrated with numerous plates, some folding and text illustrations.
