The jacket describes this work as a "novelization" based in part on letters and other documents concerning his father that Powell found during a trip to Paris, where his dad had also spent time. Bound in the original pale yellow boards, with a black cloth spine stamped in bright silver. Complete with dust jacket. Laid in is a copy of a fascinating article about Powell's life and career written by printer/publisher Ward Ritchie for the Antiquarian Bookman's Weekly (January 22, 1990). Powell and Ritchie were close friends from early childhood and this article details some of the adventures, literary and otherwise, they shared over the years. Signed by the Author (signature only).
