Folding Map. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. First Edition. Four separate folding sheets of the glasgow street plan, black with red and blue titling and district boundaries. The paper is on the thin side with a sheen to it, and is evenly age yellowed to a dark cream colour. The folds on the maps are crisp, and… some of the corner inflexions of the folds have started to tear. This will not be a problem as long as the sheets are carefully handled. They are in 6 vertical by 5 horizontal panels which fold out to 30 inch by 40 inch landscape size. The four sheets have quite a bit of overlap and show North-West, North-East, South-West and South-East areas of the City. The date of the maps may be earlier than the date of issue as these maps are not updated every year. For example, it does not show the Empire Exhibition at the Bellahouston Park site, that being complete by 1938. The brown printed envelope is age darkened, brittle and very corner chipped, included for completeness and the legend could always be attached to a more robust envelope. Size: 12mo.
