First Edition
First Edition. [Modern Literature] LEATHER-BOUND FIRST EDITION, first impression. Octavo (23 x 15cm), pp.[2]; 128; [2]. Publishers black half morocco, blue cloth over boards, gilt lettering and two raised bands to spine, silver illustration to front board. In-text and full page illustrations throughout by various artists, illustrated frontispiece and title-page. Some light scuffing to blue cloth. Near fine. 'A Night with Jupiter and Other Fantasies' is one of the Bleiler-listed strange tales. Bleiler is particularly struck by 'White Rabbits' which he describes as a 'creepy little tale' about a couple who feed rabbits rotten meat and then eat them.
