History, pioneers, family histories, and more about this county which is located in the far northeastern corner of Washington state, near the U.S.-Canada border. Originally inhabited by the Kalispell tribe, it was one of the last counties in Washington to be settled. Much of the contents focuses on late 1800s and early 1900s.
