With 30 full page reproductions of drawings of churches and their surroundings by James Pilditch, with detailed text on each church opposite; the theme is the history and continuing presence of these buildings. The churches are in the UK (particularly London and Somerset), as well as Italy, Malaysia, New York and other places. The drawings are mostly pen and ink, some with washes, and in a pleasingly free style. A Very Good+ copy, with light rubbing to wrapper edges and corner crease.
