Auflage. da : 112 Seiten/pages, mit einer Widmung der beiden Autoren auf dem Vorsatz - Von 2013 bis 2015 waren der Fotograf Maurice Schobinger und der Bergführer Pierre Abramowski in den Alpen unterwegs, um die eindrucksvollsten Felswände zu fotografieren. Die Aufnahmen wurden von einem Helikop…ter aus auf halber Höhe im Face-à-Face mit dem Berg aufgenommen; anschliessend drehte sich der Fotograf um 180 Grad, um die gegenüberliegende Ansicht festzuhalten. Stets wählte er ein weissliches, durch hohe Wolkenfelder gedämpftes Licht, das allein sämtliche Nuancen des Bergmassivs wiederzugeben vermag. Im Unterschied zu den Bergfotografien, die in der Presse oder Werbung zu sehen sind, handelt es sich um eine langfristige Arbeit, ein Lob der Langsamkeit und ein intimes, von Demut geprägtes Herantasten an die Kräfte der Natur. Maurice Schobinger dokumentiert den Zustand der Alpen zu einem Zeitpunkt, da der Klimawandel die Landschaft unaufhaltsam verändert, und zugleich gelingt es ihm, die zeitlose Majestät der Alpengipfel einzufangen.
