Hardcover. Condition: Good+. 1st Edition. All four volumes published 1905 to 1906 in original blue decorative boards. All are bumped at the corners with some fraying as are the tops and bottoms of the spines. Vols 1,2 and 4 are cracked internally at the end papers but no dramatically so. Vol 3 has two small bumps to the fore-edges of the front and rear board. Internally tight and clean, however. The boards have general signs of use. At least a Good+ copy. HEAVY, SO MAY BE SUBJECT TO OVERSEAS POSTAL SURCHARGE.

Footballers' white kits are complete on both covers and spines. Very light rubbing to small areas of the pictorial design. Covers are very bright and clean. Contents are exceptionally clean and crisp, and there are no previous owner's names or annotation.***This is not a scarce set but it is difficult to find in really nice condition. Many sets that turn up are worn and grubby. This is a very nice set indeed.

William Pickford was a notable football administrator who was on the FA Council for 50 years and was President of the Football Association just before he died in 1938.He was also a referee and was known as the "Father of Football in Hampshire". His playing days were with Bournemouth Rovers. This book was published posthumously by friends and family. 8vo. 179pp. Original burgundy boards with gilt page edges. One fold-out illustration. Extensive light foxing throughout. Good condition. Signed to the fly-leaf by E.M. Pickford, who supplied the foreword to the book and ensured that it was published after William Pickford's death.

Vintage borderless photograph from the 1918 film. With an identifying manuscript notation on the verso. Based on the 1917 novel by Eleanor Hoyt Brainerd, about a young socialite and a millionaire, who meet and fall in love while pretending to be a cook and a hired hand, respectively. No known prints of the film survive, and it is considered lost. 8.75 x 7.75 inches, irregularly trimmed. Very Good plus. Diagonal crease to the top corner, with a short closed horizontal tear to one edge.
