Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First edition, first printing. Inscribed by Spalding to a U. of Georgia art professor. This is fine press privately printed book-- designed and type set by hand by William G. Haynes Jr-- artist, letterpress operator and environmentalist who founded the Ashantilly Press. The book is printed on hand made paper and the Haynes consulted with Oxford University Press for help is approximating the type face of 18th Century typography. Marbled cover boards with quarter ostrich leather binding with gold stamped spine titles. A wonderful example of the printer's art and a nice piece of Georgia history. A fine copy with a near fine DJ with some light soiling. See my photos of this book, more available upon request. This book is in my possession and will be securely packed in bubble wrap and shipped in a cardboard box. #B.
