Um ihre Entwicklung fuer diesen Sonderzweck zu foerdern, begruen= dete ich im Jahr 1933 die Britische Interplanetarische Gesellschaft, in der loeblichen Absicht, an der Raketenforschung, die damals bereits in anderen Laendern, hauptsaechlich in Deutschland und in den USA betrieben wurde, ebenfalls praktisch teilzunehmen.
