Pictorial Wraps. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Green decorated wraps 69 pages plus 3 pages of ads at the rear, couple of folds and minor edge chips to lower right front cover and fold to small portion rear top left corner. Author states that this story is true. Author has inscribed and signed his name on the ffep. It appears to say: "To Miss Corick M.D. (or Cordick) from M. Guy Pearse, 11 Bedford Place, W.C. Nov. 2: 95 (1895). Inserted into the book (and at one time pinned at the edge to the front-end paper is a 6" X 3" watercolor painted by the author/or illustrator . On the rear of the painted card are the words "With Kind Regards" MGP (Mark Guy Pearse) Aug 2: 1895. The water color is a ocean scene with a person walking on the beach, a couple of boats in the water, a couple of seagulls, and some overcast clouds. This is most likely the FIRST EDITION/PRINTING since both author's handwritten date after inscription and on water color drawing are 1895. F.M. Pearse (illustrator). Signed by Author(s).
