Ownership inscription to front free endpaper otherwise contents clean. Dust-jacket creased top edge with nicks to head of spine, and a little toned. Detailed description of the character, history and developments in the practice of agriculture in Northumberland during the twentieth century, with reference to topography, climate and soil types as well as equipment, animal husbandry and forestry. Scarce.

Jacket has short, open edge tears around top and bottom, fading along spine, and gray handling smudges on all panels, but the front illustration remains vivid and all text is intact; the jacket is now protected in a clear sleeve. xv, 200pp. incl. index.
