The kittens appear in elaborate staged situations involving champagne, baskets, sausages, a parrot, an Easter egg, and household objects, with the accompanying poems providing a distinctly British comic sensibility. The book is especially appealing for its imaginative photographic compositions, playful typography, and charming period design.
