Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. 12mo. Oatmeal cloth. 48pp. One of 50 case-bound copies for subscribers, containing an additional poem written in by the author (of 300), this copy inscribed by Chaloner 'for Mr + Mrs Crozier with best wishes' and also signed by Caulfield. The artist did n…ot, in this cataloguer's experience, routinely sign the special edition (nor is his signature called for) so, whether or not other double-signed copies exist, this one is distinguished by being a presentation copy to its publisher, Andrew Crozier. About Very Good, spotted to the head edge and with a stain to the tail edge, a little visible on the endpapers (and faintly on the boards) but not on the text block, in lesser jacket, with spotting and staining (more obvious on the reverse), the spine a touch faded, the upper panel with a nick at its tail edge, and (curiously) with a couple of tiny staple ghosts to the flaps. Outwardly presenting better than it sounds, though, the jacket for the special edition being by necessity a little larger than usual. Signed by Author and Artist.
