I and III front inner hinge broken; front free endpaper loose in vol. I. All volumes have top and bottom of spine split with some loss. Small piece missing mid-spine of vol. III. Penc…il marks on two portraits in vol. I, not affecting the image. Ink presentation inscription to former owner dated 1913 in each volume, either on half-title or recto of frontispiece. The 32 full-page portraits all clean and unfoxed, except for the two with penciling. Four large folio volumes.

Internally foxed and tanned. Bindings tight, no annotations or inscriptions, toning to page-ends, text and music bright and clear throughout. Arranged for voice and piano with lyrics, the melodies in both notations. B/W portraits in both volumes. Approximately 12 ½ inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles, bruised top and tail. Joints good condition sound. Corners good condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition burgundy cloth boards with gilt embellished title and decoration to the front board, there is a small moisture mark at the top edge of the front board of Vol III, the rear board has embossed picture of a musical instrument. Page edges good condition slightly tanned. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition the front hinge has started to crack and the webbing can be seen to both vols, but holding well. Corners bumped, backstrips faded, heads and tails abraded; one hinge and backstrip section neatly repaired; otherwise clean and bright.
