A couple of ink number… to the front free end paper and the modern bookplate seems to cover an ink inscription as part of a date is showing. The title page is stained and soiled. Pages soiled throughout, heavily in places. Rear free end paper has been torn out at some point in the past.

Discreet ownership inscription in black ink to front flyleaf. Two patches of discolouration to lower board, cracking to joints, extremities rubbed with some loss to spine ends. Very good. Parnell was a fellow Scriblerus member along with Jonathan Swift and Alexander Pope - as well as one of the pre-Romantic 'Graveyard Poets;' his 'A Night-Piece on Death' appears in this very collection.
