A rare example of this wonderful vintage Alberta cookbook compiled from listener submissions to Pats Parker, Editor of radio station CJCJ's Woman's Program, which we believe was broadcast from Calgary. Undated but Driver A92.1 suggests ci…rca 1939-45. 292 pages. Vintage home appliance ads inside boards. Original hardcover binding appears to have released at some point as backstrip has been bolstered, perhaps replaced, with suede affixed to boards. Vernacular string binding has also been added. Heavy wear has removed considerable portions of text from boards. Gift greetings from a mother to her daughter upon front free endpaper. An example of this title is included in the Bruce Peel Special Collections at the University of Alberta. This particular ancestral example exudes character and is a wonderful piece of Alberta cookery history.; 4to.
