Notes and corrections in pencil scattered throughout, with one note in ink on title page. Written by Howard Earnest Mills (1891-1963), professor of Botany at Mills College in Oakland, with the assistance of Marjorie Armstrong, Jane Cudlip, Arlin Eaton, Marthanna Elvidge, Angela Schmick, and Dorothy Watson, who were members of the class in special botanical problems. .
