The bottom corner of the front wrap is stained with some tiny chips. Pages 97-212. Photographic illustrations, diagrams & tables. There is a small stain to the bottom corner of the inside front wrap with progressiv…ely smaller stains to the bottom corners of the first few leaves The item has a slight musty odor. Good. Parts I and II of the paper were published in earlier issues of the Journal. Part III runs from page 97 to page 164 of this issue.Otto H.Schade [1903-1981] was a noted televison pioneer, best known for his work on evaluating the gradation, graininess and sharpnesss in film and television images, and for his aperture theory that mathematically modeled the system performance of photographic lenses, films, television tubes and electrical circuits. Born in Germany, Schade emigrated to the United States in 1926. In 1931 he joined the Radio Corporation of America [RCA] where he worked for the rest of his career. From 1944-1957 he developed a unified theory of image analysis and specification, including practical methods for measuring the optical transfer function and noise in optical, photographic and electronic imaging systems. He received 85 patents and numerous awards.
