Written by Sidney Lens, an American labor leader, political activist, and author; Andrew Gunder Frank, a German-American sociologist and economic historian; Malcolm Caldwell, a Scottish academic and a prolific Marxist writer; and Walter Birmingham, an Indian-born British educationist and economist who served as the warden of Toynbee Hall. With a foreword by Lord Boyd Orr, a Scottish teacher, medical doctor, biologist, nutritional physiologist, politician, businessman and farmer.
