The boards have some yellowing to the spine and along the left side of the front panel next to the spine on Volume II which also has quite heavy bumping to the top corners and creasing to the top corners of the pages. Very slight browning to the page edges with a little dark marking to the bottom corners of Volume II. The pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. The front free endpaper of each volume has the bookplate of Anthony Edwards, Life Fellow of Gonville & Caius College and retired Professor of Biometry at the University of Cambridge. These volumes were part of his collection of books reflecting his keen and active interest in the governance of the Collegiate University. First printing.
