First book by this acclaimed African-American comedian & satirist of the 1960s, recalling his experiences as a black man in a white world. Orig. published in this mass market paperback format by Avon in 1963 (#S129), this is the 8th printing from July 1966, in 125 pages, lavishly illustrated with real-life black & white photographs by Jerry Yulsman throughout. Introduction by Playboy's Hugh Hefner, edited by Bob Orben. Condition is VG-/G+: very clean, binding secure, but spine is rolling. Pages moderately tanned, commensurate with age & paper quality, but completely unmarked. Very mild rubbing to extremitis. Nicely protected in new clear mylar cover Free!
