CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: The Red River Colony, initiated in 1811, was an effort by the 5th Earl of Selkirk to settle the Canadian wilderness in lands granted to him by the Hudson's Bay Company with displaced Irish and Scottish emigrants. An effort not without significant controversy and hardships. These published records are of great value. NOTE: Shipping will be modified to reflect actual cost for these two large volumes.
