Results: Of the 203 children enrolled, 59 (29.1%), had intestinal parasitic infections. Hookworm (17.1%) was the most common infection, preceding ascariasis with (8.9%) and trichuriasis with (3.0%),no children had both 64 pp. Englisch.

Les enfants de douze ans et moins sont plus susceptibles de contracter des infections parasitaires intestinales. C'est pourquoi cette étude a été entreprise pour déterminer la prévalence et les facteurs de risque associés aux infections parasitaires intestinales chez les enfants de douze ans et moins. Méthodes : Une étude transversale a été menée à l'HCIV Amuria du 9 avril au 4 mai 2018. Les enfants ont été sélectionnés dans la tranche d'âge 0-12 ans. Les données sociodémographiques, environnementales et comportementales ont été recueillies à l'aide d'un questionnaire structuré auprès des tuteurs des enfants afin d'évaluer les facteurs de risque. Des échantillons de matières fécales ont été prélevés auprès de 203 participants et examinés par la méthode directe pour déterminer la prévalence de la parasitose intestinale. Les données des participants ont été analysées à l'aide de la version 16.0 de SPSS. Résultats : Sur les 203 enfants inscrits, 59 (29,1 %) avaient des infections parasitaires intestinales.
