The story of one of the most famous and often discussed steam locomotives on the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, the J-3/J3-A class 4-8-4 type called "Greenbrier". The usual name for this locomotive was "Northern" but the C&O, with its roots in Old Virginia, didn't want to use this title and so adopted one that associated with the territory of southeastern West Virginia through which the engine would haul their trains. The book traces the history f these fabulous locomotives from 1935 through the last to operate in 1955.

Here\u0092s the next one, titled: \u0093Diesel Locomotives of CSXT & Predecessors in Color,\u0094 by Douglas B. Nuckles with Thomas W. Dixon, Jr. This large soft cover book (8 \u00BD x 11 inches, 64 pages) was published by TLC Publishing Inc. of Lynchburg, Virginia, dated 1995 and the 2nd printing (so stated). As the title implies, the book is nicely illustrated with brightly colored photos of these locomotives throughout. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. There are no real flaws that I can detect; the book is like new. There is a small price label on the inside of the front cover. The binding is tight and sound.
