Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Metropolitan commercial real estate markets are highly influenced by global forces, the regional economy, and institutional behaviour. While descriptions of regional commercial real estate markets are well known and widespread in academic literature, this monograph goes beyond that in explaining the dynamics in and variations between European metropolitan markets. By comparing those markets on relevant indicators and through extensive data analysis, a number of explaining factors is revealed. Contributions on specific metropolitan markets with different positions within the real estate cycle illustrate not only the characteristics of the local economy and its institutions, but also urgent issues such as battling vacancy, changing retail hierarchy or managing obsolescence.

[54 x 36 cm]. - One corner of cover with very light shelfwear. - This is the first edition of the facsimile, which is a full sized reproduction of the original and almost two times bigger then the second edition. - Text introduction: Marieke van Delft, Esther van Gelder and Alexander J.P. Raat. - - Nederlandsche Vogelen is the first standard work on the avifauna of the Netherlands and is one of the most beautiful and expensive works in the history of our printing press. This standard work by Cornelis Nozeman and Christiaan Sepp was originally published in five volumes between 1770 and 1829. The five volumes together contain beautiful, originally hand-coloured engravings that depict the birds as much as possible in life-size size, often with their feathered partner and sometimes with nest and eggs. The engravings were provided by the Amsterdam amateur biologist Christiaan Sepp and later by his son and grandson. Cornelis Nozeman, a Remonstrant minister, provided the textual description for each bird. He was undoubtedly one of the greatest ornithologists of his time. His work was continued after his death by the physician and biologist Martinus Houttuyn, and the last volume was advised by Coenraad Jacob Temminck, the first director of the current Naturalis in Leiden.
