Hardcover. Condition: VG+. Dust Jacket Condition: VG-. 1st Edition. Dark blue polished cloth, lettered in gilt on green. Stated "First Edition / H-Q" on copyright page. Slight shelf wear, mild toning to rear endpapers from a news clipping (removed) having been laid in. vi,386 pp. Color illus. dust jacket is rubbed along edges with several 1" or less closed tears and associated creasing, with shallow chipping/loss to both spine extremities. Internally, pp. 186-87, 190-91, 194-95, and 198 (blank) show, interestingly, not an offset but rather a reverse ghost of the text on the leaf's flipside (either recto or verso). We do not know whether this condition is unique to this copy or part of a larger print run; the primary text is still legible, though not without some difficulty on those cited pages. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
