First Edition. Good copy in the original gilt-decorated indigo cloth over bevelled boards, both with inlaid gilt-decorated vellum. Boards show expected mild wear to the surfaces and edges, with corners slightly bumped. Spine slightly sun-toned, with endbands and joints more substantially rubbed, the latter showing minor surface loss. Text block shows light foxing to the preliminary and final leaves, edges, and reaching slightly into some margins. Remains a strong and well-preserved example overall.
