Second owner's inscription: "Rosewell Randolph Page / from his / God Mother / November 1894" Both names are among the "First Families of Virginia." Earliest recipient likely Captain William Norborne Nelson (1824-1894) of Millwood, Clarke County, Virginia, who served in the 2nd Virginia Infantry. Second recipient Rosewell Randolph Page (1884-1951), also of Millwood, Clarke County, Virginia. The "god mother" who presented the book to Rosewell R.
