It has splitting, paper loss, and thinning to the flap and spine folds. Chips to the spine ends, quite large at the tail. Spine has faded somewhat and the white panels of the rear and flaps haves tanned. Pencilled note on the front flap with price crossed out in pencil. It is now in a protective mylar sleeve. An introduction to the science of meteoritics. Illustrated with black and white photographic plates. Harvey H. Nininger is considered to have been one of America's foremost experts in the study of meteorites. He was self-taught and collected one of the largest personal collections of meteorites of his time. This copy was inscribed on the front free endpaper to a previous owner by H.H. Nininger in 1957.
