Gialli Probiti 176, first printing of this edition, 12mo hardcover in original dust jacket, Italian translation of "The Kubla Khan Caper" (Trident Press, 1966, hardcover). Digest-size hardcover, photographic cover featuring island sunset, nude obscured by trees & wrapper text. Other Gialli editions credited… models on the jacket flap, not so here. Giusto Vaglieri's "Gialli" imprint was one of Italy's finest, offering translations of (mostly) American crime fiction w/ winking cat face mascot, tiny man in clutched fist illustration on the rear panels, lush, full-color pinup jacket photos of Raquel Welch, Lili St. Cyr, June Wilkinson, others. Very Good in a Very Good jacket, lean, light foxing & toning, faint number stamp on top page edges, tiny stain on rear pg; jacket w/ brief laminate bubbling, a few chips & tears, light scuffs. Somewhat uncommon in jacket.
