Pictorial boards show children stroking horse to front cover, both riding horse to spine, yellow titles. 8 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. First story is Joan Visits a Farm. 128 pages. 8.5 x 7". A chunky volume of stories and rhymes. Covers darkened and grubby. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Front edge of spine cracked. Large ink inscription to verso of frontis. A few hinges cracked so binding feels weak. Some light foxing and an odd mark to contents. One plate is MISSING and one partially detached. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!

Hard back binding in publisher's original aubergine cloth spine, light and navy blue symmetrical illustrated paper covers, navy lettering to spine and upper panel. 8vo 8½" x 6¼" 96 pp. Four full page colour illustrations on glossy paper, monochrome illustrations throughout. Former prize plate to upper paste down, light rubbing to edges and in Very Good condition. Member of the P.B.F.A. CHILDREN'S & JUVENILE.

Baker, M Board, M.L.P and coloured frontispiece plate. Cloth and paper covered boards worn at edges. Binding sound. One or two grubby finger marks and very occasional foxing spot, otherwise clean. Binding stitching loosening but intact. Rare.
