Richly illustrated throughout with full-color reproductions, installation photography, scholarly essays, artist chronology, and exhibition documentation, this handsome museum publication serves as both an exhibition record and an important reference for collectors of contemporary American art. A particularly desirable feature is the presentation inscription by exhibition essayist and noted American art historian John B. Ravenal, dated January 28, 2024, on page 31: "For Catherine and Jay, with love to fellow art lovers, and dear friends." Ravenal is a respected curator and scholar of postwar American art, formerly Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
