First edition, hardcover lacking its slipcase, marked as no. 162/500 on the limitation page, has bumps to the spine ends and corners, splitting to the paper at the upper fore corner of the front cover with a touch of wear to the paper at the other corners, sunning to the spine and edges, rubbing with mild smudges and spots to the covers, a couple small peels to the front fly leaf where a plate appears to have been lifted, and a short crease to the corner of Mosher's tipped in portrait near the front. Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Quarter creme linen with spine label and powder blue paper-covered boards, slipcase, small 4to., 211, (4) pages, 21 mounted facsimiles and collotype portrait of Mosher. One of 500 numbered copies designed by Leonard Baskin and printed by Harold McGrath on Fabriano paper at the Gehenna Press from Van Dijck type. The facsimiles were printed from line engravings on Arches and Shizuoka Vellum. Loosely inserted are an extra label, a presentation slip, and a holiday greeting for 1968 from the Gehenna Press printed in four colors. A fine copy with no wear or fading of the spine, in archival mylar, in a solid, very good paper-covered slipcase with spine label, showing only small paper tears to some extremities and light soiling. A superlative copy of a book often seen in less than pleasing condition.…
